What are the age restrictions?
Age 7+ and over 125cm tall.
Do I need a driving license?
No, it is a private closed track.
The venue

Capital Karts, Unit 12, Star City, Birmingham B7 5SA.
How big is the track?
The indoor track is 600 metres with a 14 kart capacity.
What are the kart details?
The adult karts are Biz Ecovolt GT.
What are the age restrictions?
Age 7+ and over 125cm tall.
What are your opening times?
10AM to 12AM Mon – Thur.
10AM to 1AM Fri.
9AM to 1AM Sat.
9AM to 12AM Sun.
Is there food and drink on site?
There is on-site café providing teas, coffees, soft drinks and snacks. Pizza packages can be pre-ordered at the time of booking.
What are the facilities on site?
There is on-site parking, toilets, lockers, changing rooms, spectator areas, café and seating area. The site has disabled access.

When do I need to arrive for my event?
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your event start time and report to the reception.
What do I need to bring with me?
Please bring photo ID and wear suitable clothes – trainers ideally.
Is safety equipment provided?
A race suit and is provided and the drivers pack of gloves and a balaclava is mandatory and can purchased at the time of the booking or at the venue upon check in.
How long will the event last for?
The event will last an additional 1 hour to your race time. An example, a 20 minute sprint will take 1 hour 20 minutes. This includes signing in, changing into the race suits, attending the driver briefing, the race, attending the podium presentation, and changing out of the race suits.
Do I, or my guardian, need to sign a waiver?
All drivers must read and sign the waiver upon checking in at the venue. For participants who are under the age of 18 a guardian aged 18 years or over must sign the waiver on their behalf.
Who will look after us on the day?
A race director and race team will guide you through the event.

Is there parking at the venue?
There is a large car park at Star City with over 2,400 free parking spaces.
What clothes do I need to wear?
Comfortable clothes ideally sports clothes and trainers (no open toe shoes allowed). All long hair, jewellery must be either worn up or taken off. Strictly no scarves, ties or long garments can be worn.
Do you provide a safety briefing?
Yes, the race director will provide a full safety briefing prior to the racing.
Do I need to bring ID?
Yes, all drivers (16 years old and above) will need to bring photo ID.
Can I wear my own race suit and helmet?
Yes, as long as the race suit is in good condition and fully covers your clothes. The helmet must be full-face and in good condition with a snug fit. Both the helmet and suit must be comply to ISO standards.
Are spectators allowed?
Spectators are free to watch the racing from our fenced spectator areas and we have the café available for any food and drink beverages. Spectators cannot attend the race briefings and must not enter the pit lane and racetrack area.
Can I participate if I am disabled?
Our karts are not suitable for disabled drivers. The venue is disable friendly with accessible spectator and café areas and a disabled toilet.

What is your policy on the use of GoPro and other filming?
We do not allow GoPro filming of the event. Under National Karting Association guidelines, the cameras cannot be safely fixed to the kart or driver.
What happens if I am late for my session?
The race director will try to fit you in for the race, but there is a cut-off point and if missed you will not be allowed to join the race. Any missed races will not be refunded or transferred.
Medical
What are the height, weight and age restrictions for Children?
What are the height, weight and age restrictions for Adults?
An Adult racer is anyone aged 14 and above.
Upper weight limit is 20 stones.
There is no height limit.
Can I participate if I have a medical condition?
Go karting is not recommended for drivers with heart problems, epilepsy, back issues or other conditions which may be affected by exertion. In addition any conditions that would prevent you from acquiring a driving licence would likely prevent you from being able to race.
Can I wear glasses with my helmet?
Yes. The glasses would be need to be removed when placing the helmet on and then placed on through lifting the visor and closing the visor back down (with a 1 cm gap to prevent fogging). Reactive and tinted lenses are not allowed as they affect visibility when driving indoors.

Vouchers are available for all of our events.

Who can I buy vouchers for?
We sell vouchers for all of events for Juniors aged 7-13 years old and Adults aged 14 years and above.
How do the vouchers get sent to me?
Vouchers can be posted or emailed.
How do I use a voucher?

Do I need to bring my voucher with me?
Yes please.
I have lost my voucher - what do I do?

Food & Drink
Do you sell food on site?
There is on-site café providing teas, coffees, soft drinks and snacks. Pizza packages can be pre-ordered at the time of booking.
How do I order food?
Snacks and drinks can be provided adhoc. Pizza packages would need to ordered prior to the event.
Do you serve alcohol?
Yes, we have a fully licensed bar. Alcoholic beverages can be served after the racing.
Do you have onsite catering?
Yes, we can provide catering.
Do you cater for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal, nut free?
Yes, we can provide pizza packages with dietary requirements.
Can I bring my own food?
We wouldn’t allow for food to be brought into the venue other than birthday cakes.
Covid Precautions
What is your Covid policy?
Our policy is based upon the latest Government advice.
Hygiene Policy
Our stringent Covid hygiene policy will continue to ensure the safety of our customers and staff;
- All customers are politely asked to wear a mask when not participating in the jump or karting activities.
- Hand sanitiser is placed around the venue
- If any customer shows any Covid-19 symptoms we ask that you do not attend the venue
- The venue is large and well-ventilated and regularly cleaned and sanitised throughout the day
- All trampoline park customers are required to purchase new socks
- All karting customers are required to purchase the driver pack of a balaclava and gloves
Booking Policy
- All bookings are non-refundable and non-transferrable
- If participants cannot attend the venue due to Covid-19 symptoms or a positive Covid-19 test the booking will be held as a full credit to be used when the participants is well enough to attend the venue.
- If the booking cannot go ahead due to a Government enforced lockdown the booking will be held as a credit to be used at any point when the venue re-opens.
